Built in 1571 by King Min Phalaung. The feature of Htukkant Thein is a big Stupa in center and four smaller stupa at the corners. It looks like a fortress more than a temple, built on raised ground, with a single entrance and small windows. Interior is amazing. There are three chambers , linking by outer and inner looping corridors. Lining the corridor are Buddha images in niches. On each side of the niches are sculpted male and a female figures said to represent the donors who financed construction to the temple.
