Not many people (tourists) get to see this place, if you get the chance don't pass it up. It is a interesting part of history for this region. The fort is in good condition and you can walk all over it with some great views of the irrawaddy river. The steps are not even height and can be difficult to navigate but fine as long as you watch your step and take it easy.
We visited as part of river cruise along the irrawaddy (awedaddy river).
