This was like taking a walking into the past. Absolutely stunning. Filled with a diverse display of machinery and tools as well as cultural historical artifacts on top of being a Fort. This museum is a definite for all who are travelling through the area. It's am hour's drive from Tsumeb but is well worth the time to visit.

Well equipped museum with different rooms, sorted by topics. Got guidance with explanations by a local woman. Climbing up the stairs on top of the tower is definitely worth it, the view is amazing. Nice little café as well!

Excellent museum, with a very nice collection of exhibits related with Grootfontein and from all over Namibia. We were very lucky and enjoyed a private guide by the very kind museum host. Highly recommended !
