We joined the park in the late October 2024, and we were a little “scared” about visiting the Park alone. Nevertheless, after sharing a fantastic morning with the San people at Living Hunter’s Museum (the Museum is only a few Kilometers far from the park’s main entrance), we have reached the park’s gate, where you have pay the fees. From there to Sikereti Camp (there are campsites as well as tents) it takes a short drive. There, we have had the pleasure of meeting Edwin, who is now in charge of managing the new camp. Sikereti Camp is a new and fantastic place. There’s a swimming pool and the possibility of dining there. The food is delicious and the staff absolutely competent. The campsite are really beautiful as well as the new tents. If you go there alone, you can have the possibility to be escorted up to the north of the park. Ask to the manager Edwin, who is very expert about the area and can give you a lot of useful tips. The waterholes, are all fantastics and some guests, who we have met there, have spotted a big pride of wild dogs. The park is wild but really really beautiful. Most of the southerners road are in good sandy conditions, but from the center to the north the situation changes. You have to drop the wheels up to 1.2 (front) 1.5 (rear), and so you can enjoy safely the beauty of the park. In my opinion Khaudum is very similar to some places of Botswana because of its wilderness and because is still far from the touristic routes. The campsite in the North is also really beautiful, and in my opinion it would be necessary to spend at least two night at both of the camps! Go there and you...

A true wild Namibian experience. We stayed in the south and exited via the north. Two nights was perfect. 1. The driving… not as bad as we thought, yes it’s deep sand but with patience is doable. Be warned tread will scratch your car everywhere! 2. Animals. Amazing, not as easy to spot as Etosha, but these are truly wild and react that way. We saw lions, orynx, wilder beast, lions, elephants, giraffes, ostrich and many warthogs! The exit to the north broke me. Many, many miles on a very bad sand road. So be prepared. Leo pan was a highlight. Would go back in...

If you love 4x4 driving and have a good car this could be fun! The roads are very undulating and rough! The waterholes have great elevated hides so you can watch the game from above. We drove from south to north it took about six hours from Sikereti camp to Khaudum camp including a dig out of a stuck car. Then it’s another four hours north to the main Caprivi road. Quite an experience. Don’t attempt to drive across this park unless you are in convoy with another car and have plenty of...
