It’s interesting and amazing to see such old tree trunks, but you only really need 15 minutes to see it. It cost 900 Namibian dollars for a family of 4( 250 for adults and 200 for kids) which was a total rip off for an 800 metre walk of which you see the same thing repeatably, our guide was disinterested, and indifferent, this has been the only negative thing on our trip to Namibia so far, I would highly recommend against visiting this as it’s a total rip off and would recommend a local one(drive a bit further on) and they are half the price and have more inspiring guides. The prettified forest really was a cash cow if I had of seen the trip advisor reviews beforehand I would not have visited. I really hope the steep Entrance feel goes towards...

Rich in history and beauty. The mountains are alive with historic energy and the San rock engravings have stories to tell. The local guides have a bounty of knowledge to share with you regarding their ancestors and home. Namibia is rich in history and geology and one needs to visit this iconic landscape and see the incredible rock art. The ancient San tribe were nomadic hunter gatherers who also had very strong spiritual beliefs and practices. They were skilled in animal tracking and hunting and had incredible plant...

Ok, as you might know the government took over some of the lucrative sites where tourists pay good bucks to see beautiful nature. Same with this site. The staff here is friendly and, when I had to change my tyre, very helpful. As RSA resident you pay N$80 and as other foreigner N$250.. A tour of 800m and 1/2 hour thru 37° ahead of you. You'll see Welwitschia, some Balsawood (used to make perfume in France) and 240 - 300 mio year old (petrified) from another part of the world.. your guide will explain.. Is it worth it?...

It’s a cute little stop albeit quick and over-priced. Our guide was lovely and explained the process of petrification well. The Welwitschia plant was just as interesting to us, it’s unique to this region. The price was 270 and I posted a picture of the fees below. There are several “petrified forests” along this road so I wonder if some folks reviewing here went to a different one?
