It was really beyond my expectations. When I used to hear about this place, I would think, "What else can we do there besides watching the Butwal view?" But in reality, there is more than just the Butwal view. I felt like I was in heaven in the scorching summer of Terai. The cold, breezing wind made me feel like I had come far from Butwal, as if I were in some fully hilly region. You can enjoy a nice dry picnic in a peaceful corner of the hill.
Moreover, you can visit Kal Vairab Temple, which is somewhere on that hill (I forgot the exact location of the temple because we found it while just wandering around the hill).
However, I am very disappointed with the so-called view tower of Nuwakot, which is totally trash. The tower is not taller than a one-storey building, and the railing is hanging loosely, likely to come off in your hand if you try to hold it. The tower is surrounded by quintals of garbage, making it look like a dumping site.
I hope it will be better in the coming days. It should be taken under control by the municipality or whichever authority is responsible. They could earn well from this place if they managed...
