A very good destination for picnic around Kathmandu Valley. Gets crowded on holidays after the recent hype about this place. Spacious place to accommodate large number of people. Leeches during monsoon season.

Free to visit and stay. No water supply. No shops for food and groceries. (Except occasionally setup by locals)

No scenic view from the location itself. It is right at the centre of a jungle/forest. Though, you get to see some scenery along the way (if you choose walking route)

If you take your motorbikes, you can park it up and walk for about 10 minutes to reach the ground.

If you travel by public bus, you can get off at Pharping bus stop and walk uphill for a couple of hours to reach the ground.

Recommended! A nice place if you want to spend the day with a group of people that includes a short ride, short off road and very short hike. There is nothing much special about this place so don't trust the lovely pictures you see in social media but the journey is adventurous.
