Spread your arms like wings. Look around you, below you like a bird does. The recently opened zip line in Dhulikhel has been attracting adventurists who want to experience the thrilling sport. World Wide Adventure Pvt Ltd started the zip line service in Kavre district in the Nepali month of Magh in 2075 BS. Since then, it has been welcoming as many as 25 daring adventure seekers on a daily basis and is generally crowded during weekends. The 1,100-metre long zip line offers three kinds of rides -- classic, superman and tandem. Sarita Shrestha who came from Dhading to experience the adventurous ride shared that places like these need further development to attract more tourists. The zip line starts from Thalke Danda in Dhulikhel Municipality-8 and goes up to Khawa in Panchkhal Municipality-5 in a whooping speed of 60 to 95 kilometres per hour. Depending on the zip line user's weight and speed of the wind, normally it takes about 1 minute and 20 seconds to complete the zip line ride. The minimum age to participate in this adventure sport is 16 years but children aged 13-15 years can also experience it with permission from their guardians. Tejraj Bhatta, who visited from Kalikot to experience the zip line, shared that he was able to see the views of Langtang, Dorje Lakpa and other mountains during his ride on the zip line. 'It was difficult in the beginning, but it became thrilling later,' shared Bhatta. World Wide Adventure Pvt Ltd is also offering eight different adventure courses and has established an adventure park in the landing station of the zip line, Khawa. According to Kedar Thapa, chairperson of the company, Rs 70 million was allocated for the project out of which Rs 50 million has already been spent. Thapa informed that the zip line was created as per the European and American standards and added that Australian and Indian technology have been used. Perfect adventure day out. Near from Kathmandu Valley and the road upto there is all good. You can easily find them. We did classic zipline. In addition, there was 20% discount offer, so we got free video and photos. The staffs were nice and polite. The instructors were really good at their work. 1.1km of zipline with many options like classic, superman and couple. It was amazing to experience the thrill. In every 2-5 minutes, the jeep takes you back to the starting point so we dont need to worry about returning back to get your belonginga at the ticket counter. They are trying to improvise themselves and we look forward to have more fun games. Overall, it was worth the visit...

The Zipline itself is almost 1.1 km (which is short) and can reach from point of start to end in less than a minute but it is a good step for someone who is starting in adventure sports. Gives a good adrenaline rush whether you are doing couple or solo ride. For couple, they have couple zipline and for solo they have Superman and normal ziplines. They also have option for clicking video or not which costs Rs. 500 extra. For now they are providing 20% off in their services👍
