Breathtaking Waterfall with a Challenging Journey.
The waterfall itself was stunning, but be prepared for a challenging hike to get there. Due to the off-season, the water flow was weaker than usual, but the beauty of the falls was undeniable. However, the path was undergoing maintenance, making it difficult to navigate, especially compared to the ease of a bike ride. Though we could have reached directly to the location but maintenance made us stop at Ranipauwa. The 1.5-hour walk was strenuous, so keep that in mind if you're planning a visit anytime soon. As there are also fewer boards around to navigate and not enough shops around for easy snacks.
I would recommend traveling once the roads are properly pitched or an alternative way is made for travelling. . . . . We got there through Nuwakot road which was not maintained properly. Though till Nuwakot, the road was pitched and was a beautiful and enjoyable bike ride. After That, The way was full of dust and smoke. The recently developed staircase has made going to the waterfall easier.
The warm hospitality of the locals, who are friendly, polite, and take great care of the waterfall area, makes the trip merrier. The sight of the waterfall itself is awe-inspiring, a true beauty to behold, complemented by the stunning backdrop of nearby hills and plains.
For added convenience, there is a changing room facility available, ensuring privacy to change clothes after enjoying the refreshing waters of the waterfall. Moreover, the locals run a canoeing activity, adding a touch of excitement...
Read moreWonderful place to visit... just a few hours ride from main city kathmandu... the roads there are also nicely maintained with some bumpy patches the waterfall itself is surreal... makes you forget the week-long stress you had from your work... oh, and unlike most of the waterfalls, there are changing rooms, too, which probably had seen better days, though cuz let's face it, we have a poor mentality... when we were there, people were making tiktok videos on the roof of the changing room... I mean, come on just enjoy the view people
