Ichangu Narayan temple is one of the famous hindu temple in Kathmandu valley and is also known as youngest one among four Narayan temples. Four Narayan temples are Changu Narayan, Bisankhu Narayan, Shesh Narayan and Ichangu Narayan which are considered as four brothers, situated in four direction of Kathmandu valley. They're established for wishing prosperity and happiness of the people. The temple is mostly crowded in Haribodhani ekadashi, people from different parts of Nepal visit here during this occasion. Haribodhani ekadashi is one of the greatest festival in which people worship these four Narayan simultaneously and at the end they worship the lord Pashupatinath.

Ichang Narayan is one among power Temple which is about 3km northwest of Swayambhunath, Ichangu Narayan is one of several important temples dedicated to Vishnu in his incarnation as Narayan, the ‘eternal man’. Built in the two-tiered pagoda style, the temple was founded in around AD 1200 and its courtyard is dotted with ancient Garuda statues and other Vaishnavite symbols. The complex was shaken by the 2015 earthquake, but most structures have been stabilised and repaired.

Ichangu Narayan Temple (Nepali: इचंगु नारायण मन्दिर) is a 5th century Hindu temple located in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was built by King Haridatta of the Lichhavi dynasty. The temple was rebuilt in the 18th century. The temple has two stories and has a pogoda architecture. The courtyard of the temple houses statues of various hindu deities such as Garudas and Mahalaxmi. The idols were stolen from the temple several times, but they were recovered.

One of the four main Narayan temples, Ichangu Narayan lies on the far west side of the Valley underneath the mountain of Nagarjun. This walk is rural Nepal at its best. Built in the two-tiered pagoda style, the temple was founded in around 1200 and its courtyard is dotted with ancient Garuda statues and other Vaishnavite symbols. The surrounding is also a bird watcher’s paradise with almost 40 species of birds making home to this area.
