Beautiful spot of water. Used to be three waters named the 'Veersegat' , 'Zuidvliet' and 'Zandkreek' before this water became separated from the Northsea and Oosterschelde river by two dams: The Veersegat dam and the Zandkreekdam in 1960/1961. The water is brackish, which creates it's own ecosystem and has some rare fauna. Annoying are some dogowners who don't clean up their dog's poo and make beautiful spots, where one could sit and enjoy nature, unvisitable to others because of the wide spread smell, flies and risk of getting your feet dirty!
