Vinayagar Temple, Den Helder, Netherlands — Attraction in Den Helder

It's sin if you are not leaving 5star to this temple 🤗😉. Staffs are super friendly. Temple is south indian type housing : Pillayar, murugar, Madurai meenakshi, Sundarar(Shiva) ,Mahalakshmi, Vishnu, Brahma, durga, chadikeshwarar, bairav, Navagraha, krishna , Pack your lunch, brunch , or evening snacks to fill your stomach, literally no shops/super markets. If you are driving the are parking space. If you go by public transport - get down at den helder zuid, walk towards the side of platform 2 and wait for #30 bus or it's just 1.8km walk which takes around 18-20 mins time. On a sunny day it's easy to walk amidst the fileds.

Really nice temple in the southern Hindu style. There are multiple deities inside. The place is always neat and clean and has a very very calming feel to it. We've been to quite a few events here (wedding, making ceremony, anna prasannam, abhishekams and normal poojas) and we really like the archanas/ poojas done there. The temple food is also delicious (if you're lucky enough to taste their fare ;-) ) All in all very well run place. Do visit if you need the peace of mind of going to a temple or just want to visit a little piece of the Indian / Sri Lankan sub continent here in the Netherlands. This is one of the few temples in NL, that is close to the ones in South India with Gopuram. One of the highlights of my visits is the Saturday afternoon pooja. The 12 o'clock pooja is a serene and uplifting experience. After the pooja, the community gathers for lunch.
