The National Park De Biesbosch is an amazing place for those who like outdoor places and sports. We drove down here and spent the entire morning driving down the different routes and going for a walk amidst the beautiful surroundings. We took our dog along and made the place extra special as he got to run scot-free in open landmasses of water and grass. We just had tons of fun going here. The best part is that it is not well known and is one of the hidden gems of Netherlands. Will recommend this place for a half day/full day outing.

PS: If you have a cycle or a camera there are some amazing cycling routes here and spots where all you would want to do is sit down with your camera and capture the birds...

You can take bus No. 43 or ride a bicycle to get to Nationaal Park Hollandse Duinen, the difference is not big. Remember to take motion sickness pills when taking the bus, it is a bit winding. Take the bus from Leiden to de kieviet station, then you can start hiking. After getting off the bus, it is recommended to go directly to Boerderij Meyendel in the national park，there are free toilets, you can take a rest.
