Ik vindt dit zo'n mooie plek om er even naar toe te fietsen en mooi op een bankje al zittend kijkend over het IJsselmeer. Ik als hobby fotograaf heb deze vuurtoren de Ven al heel veel keer op de foto gezet. Het blijft me boeien en als landmark blijf ik deze vuurtoren zien. Het is een lichtpuntje in de duisternis en een herkenningspunt tussen Enkhuizen en Andijk.

Dieser Denkmalgeschütze Leuchtturm aus dem 17. Jahrhundert ist der älteste Leuchtturm der Niederlande. Er steht direkt am Deich des Ijsselmeeres in der Nähe von Enkhuizen. Seine Höhe beträgt 15 Meter und die Feuerhöhe ist zwei Meter darüber. Ein Halt lahn sich auf jeden Fall.

The lighthouse, called "De Ven", is an historic site, worth a visit. Commissioned in 1700, it is one of the oldest lighthouses in the Netherlands. It is still in operation. Don't miss the antique plaque at the back, so on the see side after climbing the stair to the top...

Het is een vuurtoren. Op zich wel mooi. Het hek er om heen ontsiert het geheel wel. Verder kan het stucwerk beter. Voor de rest valt er niet echt iets aan te beleven. De vuurtoren is gesloten voor bezoek. Op de dijk is wel een bankje met een mooi uitzicht over het ijselmeer. Een leuke plek om te stoppen. Maar niet de moeite waard om er speciaal voor te komen. Of het doel moet een vuurtoren zien zijn. Gewoon een vuurtoren zo als er zo veel zijn langs de kust. Het hek is echt...
