Goois Natuurreservaat Zanderij Cruysbergen — Attraction in Gooise Meren

Nature reserve and public park. Open to humans from sunrise to sunset. No fee. No big groups allowed without written permission. Dogs must be on a leash. There is grazing cattle here so keep your distance, they are usually friendly but not always. You will find wild footpaths here, bridges, swamps and some larger vegetation. Many herons, waterfowl and fish live here or pass by in Winter. This was a former sand quarry for the construction of the nearby residential area and Amsterdam. This is why this reserve is low lying among higher ground. Next door is the Bussums Bloei nature reserve/forest which is still the original sandy higher ground left over after the glaciers...

Not much to see here, it's all flat and grassy but sitting by the river is nice on sunny day. Sometimes you might even see a rare...
