nice location next to animals +kids loved observing animals every day tent spacious and equiped with coffee machine, kettle , cutlery for the stay game drive close to animals is very nice

expectation is that you clean the place, remove all bedsheets and even buy your own toilet paper - for 300+ euros per night this is really a rip off… there is no soap either… service is very slow, it is not even the high season but waiters simply ignore you or are very inefficient. Dirty tables, long waiting in all restaurants ( Labadi and Amma especially). Overall it didn’t seem like waiters were interested at all in the clients. At hogon hause cafe we were waiting about 20 min, they kept passing by without any reaction. We just left in the end. Maji Springs - there is no hairdryer in the pool… there are so many families with kids , and you can’t dry kids hair before going out. apparently people take the houses for partying , i was expecting quite weekend but instead had party people next to us there was also a big music festival nearby, literally I felt that the ground was shaking from the loud music - luckily by 11 pm music was out

In general you need to book activities a lot before , even now in low season most of activities were sold out , restauranst booked out - at least in the app, however I saw empty tables.

I think i had high expectations of nice relaxed weekend next to animals, quite:) and it was quite opposite, crouds of people, loud music. Realy don‘t want to know what happens here in summer:) If you are near this place then worth a visit, but we extra traveled here and I think this was not necessary.

Addition: I need to add that kids actually loved it, they seem to disagree with my review and actually asking...

We had a great 2 night stay Pros: Safari Lodge very clean Toilet paper, towels, linen, dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc all provided Lodge 459 was opposite the animal house so you could see them going to bed and coming out in the morning Pool area much better than expected Pizza delivery tasty (app didn't work for British cards though so we had to go to the main centre to order) Breakfast tasty (see also con) Super easy access into safari park Shop is fine for basics. Milk, pasta and sauce, bread etc. Expensive but not excessively so for 2-3nights.

Cons: Terrible signposting for anyone using public transport. This does not feel like a site encouraging people to use public transport to get there which feels odd for a place that should be supporting the environment. To get there you should get off at the Safari Park bus stop (buses every 30mins, or 1hr on a Sunday from Tilburg which takes about 20mins). Then you should ignore the sign telling you to walk along the cycle path to the entrance as you then need to walk along the road (!) into the entrance. Instead you should head straight into the safari park and then left for about 15mins walk to head through a gate and into the resort area. Late October animals weren't out until 0930 and were back in their houses at 1600 so don't expect them to be outside your lodge from breakfast until after dinner. Breakfast was great but expensive The app didn't work for us (wanted to pay by Visa) so we had go and order breakfast and pizza from the main desk which was fine, but they said we should have ordered breakfast more than 1 day in advance which had we done it on the app there wouldn't have...

I would not have a problem if they did not advertise their cottages as luxurious, because that is far from reality. They might have been luxurious 4 years ago, but not anymore as things are used and not maintained (radio not working, no battery in the remote to the tv, knife falls apart). The bed looked like if someone used it. Besides, our cottage was very dirty: dusty floors, especially behind the furnitures, dusty shelfs, dirty cups and plates. We called the reception, they promised to send someone. No one arrived. Next day I called again, they said someone was there, but that was not true. Finally someone came and did “a kind of” cleaning with not too much enthusiasm. The sauna in the cottage is only for 1 person which is a pity. The terrace door did not close properly, luckily it was not that cold outside. The doors in general don’t close good, you can see through under them, so if someone goes to the toilet others hear everything. Around our cottage there was bird poop at every second step and it was just getting worse every day. The resort itself is nice, lotsa things are available for bigger kids (from 2 years let’s say). We tried the restaurant and the food was good, only they forgot to send our order to the kitchen so we needed to wait almost an extra hour. The safari park is nice, although I was a bit disappointed based on my experience from Austria and from England. Here you see much less animals, but it is still fun and...

Very nice zoo park with lots of options for transportation once you are inside. It is quite big, but you can explore by bus, boat, safari with your own car, walk, or book a jeep ride. There is the main car park at the front entrance, and another parking place on the other side of the park, where the tour bus and the boat finish their ride and where you can park your car, if you are doing a safari with your own car. This way you can easily explore the whole park with kids in two parts. We explored the first half on foot closest to the main entrance first, then took a bus safari to the other carpark and explored on foot the other half of the park, then took a boat safari ride back. It breaks the walking up nicely for the little ones. You can borrow a trolley for the kids, but they go quick, so may be good to bring your own stroller or trolley. It's a big place! Our 3 year old absolutely loved all the playgrounds! He liked the animals too, but the playgrounds were definitely a big hit. :) The grown ups loved seeing all the animals, like rhinos , giraffes, cheetahs and elefants! We definitely recommend a visit to this park! We spent a full day here, but did not quite get through the whole place. We will be back!
