Natuurpark Lelystad — Attraction in Lelystad

Well if you have an hour or two... nature who doesn't love it? Well every Sunday afternoon after Church we go here... either my husband and my self or we bring our grandkids, family and or friends along with us. We have these long walks and we and the kids just love seeing the animals. It starts with the storks in their nests right at the entrance. And a bit further down one of the routes they have a field with a huge net where in summer the storks stay lots and lots of them The most we had seen at one moment is like 20 of them. They started of with just a few like 6 or so and these managed to breed... the parents don't migrate in winter they love their home so the stay but the young ones do. Then near the entrance you have the Otters and Wisent cows and Prozwalsky horses, you have deer and wild pigs further into the Nature reserve... really it is an AMAZING place and its huge... you can have early morning breakfasts while taking a tour with the park guide. If you would want to see the whole park you would really have to do that by car or on the bike if the weather is nice. I am absolutely sure that you will fall in love with this place. And after a nice walk you can sit and relax even more with a nice cup of coffee with apple pie and many other...

De sterren die ik geef zijn omdat dit het meest diervriendelijke dierenpark is van Nederland. Waarom geen 5 sterren? Simpelweg omdat er te veel mist. In de huidige verblijven kunnen runderen van het Tauros project, damherten, rendieren, wilde ezels erbij zonder eenige aanpassingen. Het park zou zich goed kunnen uitbreiden met roofdieren al snap ik dat het niet gaat vanwege voer kosten. Maarja een plekje voor probleem wolven of opvang beren zou nou eenmaal heel veel bezoekers brengen. Maar ze zouden eigelijk prima kunnen uitbreiden door dieren opvang centra ruimte te geven. Het zou perfect centraal in het land liggen voor vogel opvang, egel opvang en eekhoorn opvang bijvoorbeeld. Dat dit park niet groeit is eeuwig zonde aangezien dat perfect zou kunnen passen bij de gedachte voor conservatie dat dit park heeft. En een frisdrank automaat zou niet verkeerd zijn buiten het bezoekerscentrum aangezien het bezoekers centrum vroeg dicht is zou dat meer geld in het laatje brengen.

Er zijn zo veel gemiste kansen dat ik hoop dat dit park overgekocht word door Libema ofzo of dat er structureel gekeken word wat voor aanpassingen gedaan kunnen met een klein budget. Bijvoorbeeld een tweedehands aquarium bij de binnen kijkruimte otters met een fokgroepje bedreigde Europese vuurbuikpadden. Of europese moeras schildpadden in een afgesloten vijver. Ik zou zelfs gratis helpen dit te realiseren omdat ik echt geloof dat dit park het beste Natuurpark van Europa kan worden.

Ik heb in iedergeval een jaarkaart gehaald voor als ze geld nodig hebben om dit te realiseren en ik raad iedereen...

Nice park to walk around in. During the week it's usually fairly quiet. Most people tend to come in the weekend. But even in the weekend it's still relaxing. Lots of animals to be seen like storks, deer and prezwalski horses. During the day the visitors center is open. Here you can use the restroom or get some refreshments. Big parking lot available and there is a limited supply of wheelchairs that can be borrowed with a 1 euro coin that you'll get back upon returning...
