Keukenhof Forest — Attraction in Lisse

I recently visited Kasteel Keukenhof with my family, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The place is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth visiting, especially during flower season when colorful blooms cover every corner, creating a breathtaking and picture-perfect atmosphere.

The gardens surrounding the castle are well-maintained and clean, filled with tall trees and wide green lawns — perfect for walking, relaxing, or enjoying a family picnic. What we appreciated most was the peaceful ambiance and fresh air, which made it ideal for both children and adults.

During our visit, there were special activities for kids, including a fun and safe play area where our children had a great time. There was also a small petting zoo with friendly animals like goats and rabbits. The kids were thrilled to interact with them, feed them, and learn a bit more about animals in a fun, hands-on way.

The castle itself is stunning from the outside and gives off a sense of historical elegance. We didn’t go inside this time, but we thoroughly enjoyed the vast outdoor spaces and the beautiful natural scenery.

I highly recommend visiting Kasteel Keukenhof during the flower season — it truly offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Whether you’re with family, friends, or even solo, this place combines relaxation, natural beauty, and fun for all ages.

The forest itself is very nice. But it's too bad that for some unknown reason they have poisoned a large portion of Keukenhof Bosch with ridiculous, unwanted modern art, along with the Art Museum that has probably seen a solid 4 visitors in the many years it's been opened now.

As long as you stay in the woods and don't pay too much attention to the crazy stuff they placed...
