Krimhild Landfront Vlissingen — Attraction in Middelburg

This bunker was part of Stützpunkt Krimhild Landfront Vlissingen, in the town of Vlissingen, here you will find the only German build bunker that was completely restored to what it would have looked like back in 1944.

It has a Saddleback roof, several painted on windows and doors, and a fake chimney, (the chimney is actual original) this bunker was restored in 2014 and it's now part of a small playground, all this was mainly done by Festungwalcheren which is a organisation that helps to preserve these fortification for the next generation.

Landfront Vlissingen would consisted of a 8 klimometer long anti-tank wall backed by concrete bunker positions. This bunker would have been part of position Ritthem, and was a command bunker for the surrounding bunkers .the actual tank ditch, would have stopped here and would be replaced by dragon teeth.

today most of the bunkers are gone and only a small part of dragon...

Leuk naar WO2 herstelde bunker. Een afwisseling op de andere vele bunker op Walcheren. Als je er in de buurt ben leuk voor een foto. Aangrenzend een paar speeltoestellen voor de kleintjes. Goede plek voor een korte break tijdens het fietsen. Rij de abeelseweg in, en zo'n 1000 meter verder nog een paar bunkers...

Deze Duitse Regelbau 621 bunker, als huis gecamoufleerd zodat de Engelse vliegtuigen geen bunker zouden herkennen. Camouflage in 2014 hersteld zoals in 1943...
