Alto vista , Chapel – A Peaceful Stop with Modest Offerings We visited Alto Vista Chapel expecting to experience something more historical. The main site—the chapel—is actually relatively new, which was a bit surprising. It took us nearly 20 minutes of driving to reach the area, and while the journey itself was calm and scenic, the destination was quite simple. With all due respect, the most interesting part of the visit for me was seeing the captos scattered around the surroundings. They were genuinely eye-catching—colorful, unique, and definitely worth a look. They added a special touch to the environment. That said, the main attraction of this place is clearly its religious value. For those who are Christian or Catholic, it may be meaningful to visit and pay respects. Outside of that, there isn’t much else drawing attention to the location as a tourist stop. Overall, it’s a peaceful, humble site that may hold significance for believers, but not necessarily for travelers seeking history or architecture.

A very elegant beautiful chapel nestled on top of a mountain. Its beautiful inside and out but be respectful of cameras inside it's still a house of worship And meant to be cared about. I'd def say it has a wonderful view. We took a tourism bus the kuku kunuku up to see this and varying areas of the island. I am amazed at how serene and beautiful the chapel looked. Cacti surrounds it and the road to it was rocky but when you look at it and see it you will be wowed at its beauty. Smallish yes but still the location and the look make it worthy of a stop if on the island. Would love to see it again someday. Def a meaningful visit

It's a beautiful chapel. It's peaceful and tranquil. It is surrounded by a little cactus forest. Don't miss this place to visit when you're around. It's worth. Also there is a small stall outside for refreshing drink, watermelon and pineapple slices and mainly fresh coconut water. Also couple of stalls for souvenirs. You might find lot of ATVs parked here as the tour operator have them in their route I guess, when we were here there were at least 20 or 40 ATVs parked on street. Outside the chapel there are few cactus tress where the tourists queue up to take photos. So I need to get in line to get the correct pic.

A great visit why we were on vacation in Aruba. I stronly recomend renting a vehicle in which we prearranged before we arrived on the Ruby Princess Cruise ship, the transition was Very Easy! Smart Rents was great, just keep in mind, make sure their driver that picks you up from smart rents, knows your at the port Gate 5, to which is the only gate the cruise ships dock at anyway. When you walk to the gate which is not more than 10 min walk, bring an umbrella, as there are not many trees why you wait for your driver to pick you up to retrieve your car for the day! :-) Wait at the gate!!! Do not get discouraged he will come walking up and meet you there, then he will take you over to a parking lot which is another 5 minute walk over to where the rent cars are parked, he will go over the terms with you, and you'll be on your way for the day around the island!! We had a great time, the car-SUV was great, the cost was about the same as the cost of an excursion for one person on a cruise ship, so basically you get 2 for 1 cost wise! Saved a 100.00!! By renting a car, and was able to do what we wanted, and stop for as long as we wanted at beaches and sites, and was able to do things without the cramped feeling of a cruise ship tour bus. The chappel was a lovely stop, we walked down the path behind, and was able to see the lovely beach below, soaked in the sun, did a photo op, and was on our way down the island and around. I wanted to add about the rent car, get an SUV, dont waste your money on a jeep, and dont get discouraged! Use google maps, was very easy to get around and you just drop the car off where he picks you up at the parking area where he walks you over to at the port which is a 10 minute walk back to your...
