Landgoed Loenen — Attraction in Overbetuwe

This romantic and quiet B&B is located close to Nijmegen but it's really in the middle of nowhere. So if you want to stay here you really need to get here by car, motor bike or bicycle as I didn't spot any public transport around the place. The B&B is located just of the dyke along the river Waal and is situated in a nicely renovated old mansion. ||When we arrived we were greeted by the owners (and their sweet dog) and check in was speedy and flawless. We were shown up to our room which was nice and big. The only downsides we found was that the flooring was pretty uncomfortable to walk on with your bare feet (we forgot our slippers) and the fact that there was no separation between the bed room and bath room. This last downside is no problem when you're in the bath or in the shower but using the toilet... I don't know, a bit uncomfortable from our perspective. We had a good night sleep as the beds are comfortable and the place is really quiet at night.||In the morning we had a good breakfast and checkout was nice and easy.||We wnt here in November so it was dark early and as I mentioned, this place is in the middle of nowhere so there is not a lot of light around it (for The Netherlands). This might make the drive along the dyke a bit cumbersome for some people (espacially in winter conditions) so bear that in mind.||If we're ever going to go to Nijmegen we would consider this B&B again, we would not forget our slippers :) and we'd ask for a room with a separate...

Afgelopen weekend zijn wij getrouwd bij Landgoed Loenen, een droom die uitkwam.

De eigenaren Bob en Inge zijn zorgzaam, betrokken en hebben met hun advies, ideeën, maar ook eerlijkheid enorm bijgedragen aan het vlekkeloze verloop van de dag. Ze denken met je mee, nemen dingen uit handen en hebben grote passie voor wat ze doen. Doordat ze veel lokale ondernemers kennen, hebben ze goede aanbevelingen gedaan wat betreft de catering, de bloemen en de inhuur van materiaal. Een bruiloft plannen heeft een lange aanloop en vergt veel voorbereiding, maar het contact is altijd soepel en efficiënt verlopen.

De gehele dag heeft buiten op het sprookjesachtige terrein kunnen plaatsvinden, maar ook bij slecht weer zouden de ruimtes binnen perfect geweest zijn. We hadden de hele dag het landgoed voor onszelf, waarna we met een deel van onze gasten zijn blijven slapen en we de volgende dag van een heerlijk ontbijt hebben genoten.

Alle gasten waren vol lof over de prachtige locatie, de styling van de kamers en de gastvrijheid. Ze voelden zich volledig in de watten gelegd. We hadden ons geen betere plek voor onze grote dag...
