Dieses Fort gehörte zu der Verteidigungslinie um Amsterdam.

Sie wurde zwischen 1889 und 1913 erbaut. Es galt in dieser Zeit als eines der stärksten und modernsten Forts in der Verteidigungslinie um Amsterdam.

In seiner Panzerkuppel ist ein doppelläufiges 10,5 cm Geschütz positioniert.

Ebenfalls prägend für dieses Fort ist, das es aus zwei Etagen besteht. Das liegt daran das es nicht nur ein reines Infanteriefort war, sondern auch gleichzeitig ein Artillieriefort.
