Wilhelminapark, Rijswijk — Attraction in Rijswijk

In potential a great city park but the city of Rijswijk does not seem to like dogs so much. There is no parking right at the area where dogs are allowed so you need to navigate and walk quite a bit on leash to get to the right spot. From there it is sometimes a challenge to not end up at a non-dog area when you walk around. The city of Rijswijk seems to be more interested in picknick spots for the 5 weeks a year the weather is good enough than dog owners that will be in the park all year round unfortunately. It’s a great spot for a walk or run, but I had a weird experience. A kid on a fat bike seemed to be following me, which felt suspicious. Luckily, I noticed and found a safe spot where two people were sitting on a bench. I stopped there, and strangely, the kid stopped too, waiting around for almost 10 minutes! Great place for a chill walk. One side has a nice hill and the other has a big road so try to stay away from that. The only thing that makes this place less fun is the BBQ spots, but some people don't have a yard so it's only logical! Loud music and smelly BBQs are usually around about late in the afternoon, so try to go a little...
