De Maeslantkering — Attraction in Rotterdam

You can take a very interesting tour where you first get told some history about the waterworks technologies that were developed and all the decisions that led up to building the Maeslantkering. The second part of the tour is where you go outside and walk right next to and even under the Maeslantkering itself. Very interesting and a big wow-factor! Definitely recommend visiting.

Super interesante. El museo tiene muy buenas explicaciones de cómo funciona la gestión del agua en Holanda: como se defienden de las inundaciones de las tormentas y de las inundaciones de los ríos, como funcionan los poderes... con elementos interactivos, que son también interesantes para los niños. Está todo en holandés, pero se soluciona facilmente con la App del traductor de Google. Hay una visita guiada también, donde explican el museo, y lo más interesante, se pueden ver las compuertas de las tormentas, una megaestructura muy interesante para cualquiera que le guste las obras de ingeniería. Hay que tener cuidado al reservar hora para el tour, porque hay visitas en holandés...
