Sadly, the bigger bridge has fallen. There is a smaller one down below if you’re daring enough to walk down. The wind and the waves were so powerful we didn’t trust ourselves to not slip and fall. You can clearly see where the rocks are cracking and slowly dropping off. Wear shoes that can handle rocks, glass and any sharp objects. There are so many 🌵, lava rocks and broken glass everywhere. The amount of broken glass almost gave the vibe there may have been a ritual to break glass there. Some looked really fresh and some seemed as though it had been there a long time. Ladies (and gents with long hair) don’t waste your time with your hair prior to going (or anywhere on the island for that matter) the wind and moisture of the ocean will...

The most amazing views and explorations we’ve ever done on our own. The pics here will tell you, no need for tour guides or tour busses just rent a car and go.

We visited some beautiful scenery, explored some caves, explored some abandoned houses and even ran into an old airport landing strip.

By far one of the adventurous times we’ve ever experienced on our own. We were even visited by a perimeter policeman for the islands prison. The prison seriously looked abandoned at first until we met the policeman who told us its currently holding about 200 inmates. He was such a nice guy he even did an IG video for us check it out.

I wish I would’ve got the officers name, he represented Aruba very professionally and...

01-2024 update: second time in Aruba (we come every several months) and we discovered that if you arrive before 9... like 8:30 am you will have a different experience! The views are wonderful with no one around and we were able to enjoy the scenery and take as many pictures as we wanted! The tours start arriving after 9 but they only spend about 15 minutes. Go early, grab a pastechi when the food opens after 9 and enjoy!

Natural Bridge collapsed so you don't get to see it. It can get crowded with all the tours and it's a small area. The food is good, shopping selection is minimal. Once was enough for us but we went with several tours... you will spend about 15 just to say you saw the...

Gorgeous, and a short hike from the lighthouse parking lot. Look a little to the left of the lot for a vague trail of sorts. This is definitely not for the uncoordinated or balance-challenged, though. The hike down to the actual bridge is tricky due to lots of small, loose rocks, and despite being careful I slipped once on the descent. The bridge itself is plenty wide so I didn’t feel precarious, but the footing still requires concentration. I went for sunrise (highly recommend!), and the wind was constant but not too strong.
