First of all, the name of the place is misleading as it is not a fort. Basically, it is a point on the hill with two cannons. I walked 3.5kms for 55 minutes each way, and it was not worth it. The best part was the view across the Caribbean.

The cannons at Fort de Windt have recently been renovated and reinstalled. The fort's history whispers through the installations where their presence evokes images of a time long past. Visitors can now appreciate these historical artifacts that offer a glimpse into a significant chapter of history in Sint Eustatius.

You get a view of the ocean from the fort. You can also see St Kitts and Nevis.
