Visitor center De Wieden — Attraction in Steenwijkerland

Great place to start a visit to National Park de Wieden. Very pleasant vistor's center with friendly staff. You can book tickets here for the amazing boat (EcoWaterliner) to Blokzijl and Giethoorn. We werden super ontvangen deze namiddag, we zochten info over een wandeling of boottocht met gids. Onze vragen werden heel vriendelijk beantwoord en we konden ter plaatse reserveren en betalen. Nadien kregen we uitleg over de twee korte wandelingen achter het bezoekerscentrum. We deden de wandeling van 1km en stonden versteld van de prachtige natuur. Overal mooie bloempjes, planten, grassen... insecten allerlei, mooie vlinders, watertorren, een euh 'zwerm' kikkervisjes, ...we stonden ergens te luisteren naar de rust van al dat moois, toen we een diertje , dat verstopt zat onder het groen, luid hoorden knagen aan een rietstengel...heerlijk momentje.
