Great place to learn more about war history. It is one of 3 biggest bunkers in the entire country. There are many small buildings on its territory but the 2 main buildings are accessible only with the guide and only in Dutch. Which is understandable, because it is a relatively small museum and it is part of local history and so many locals suffered. Must book excursions in advance. Some people complain about only Dutch tour available and they ask to add English just because “they were allies” but then there were many other allied nations, so museum must add 10+ languages? Will I find 10+ languages including Dutch in every British war museum? I highly doubt that! Overall it is a great...

Interesting WWII site. €5 for small exhibition with informative film in Dutch (entrance includes map of bunkers which is otherwise €2.50 but which isn't very informative). There's an English translation of the exhibition available, but not of the film or bunker signs. You can walk 'bunker route' of (empty) bunkers for free - interesting but sterile (apart from the officer's bunker which was dressed with period furniture etc). I assume the locked bunkers aren't empty and are more engaging, but that's yet another €8 for a tour (book a few days in advance) - and other reviews say the tour is...

I have come to Terschelling many times and have always thought they should do something with the history and all the bunkers scattered around the island. They did! Awesome to see these fully restored bunkers. I suggest going on the tour as you will get a detailed explanation by one of the tour guides. Lots to see and learn here and a real trip back in time. Hats off to the local volunteers who put in their time and effort to make this happen. Keep up the good work!
