We first went from Den Hoorn to the beach, and then walked south on the beach to De Hors. The way down at the beach was amazing, the sand was very warm and soft und the nature was astonishing, I really recommend it. The beach change a bit at De Hors, the sand area at the beach was really huge and the way from the dune to the surf was quite a bit in comparison to the beach we saw before. At De Hors we met nearly no people. It was amazing to see that the beach was full of thousands of mussels After that we went trough the national park back to the ferry. We went over one of many paths through the dunes and it was as beautiful as the way before at the beach.

It felt other worldly. I'm guessing it gets busier in the summer but I can't imagine it ever getting even close to being crowded. It's was a very unique place to visit and I'm glad we made it out there...

I've never seen a 'desert' like this anywhere else in the...
