We visited in April of 2023, on a group tour. They had a great show on how the cheese is made, with an wonderful host, who was very entertaining! We had a cheese tasting of all the different flavors that they make. Delicious! 😋 We then moved onto the clog making tour. One of the demonstrations was on how they make the clogs, that they wear & sell. It was interesting to see the method, that they use to create the clogs & to find out why they wear them in their country. We had a chance to browse their gift shop, buy some trinkets, that they personalized & see their display of clogs, throughout the ages. If you wanted, you could buy some clogs of your own. Before we left, we walked around the village that they were a part of, which was just picturesque. We loved the tour!! We would recommend this tour, when you are in the Netherlands, it won’t disappoint!...
Read moreWe stopped here overnight using the Motorhome parking area. In the morning we visited the shop and were made most welcome by all.thd staff. We were given a tour of the cheese making area with all the history of cheese making. We were then taken to the Clog making area to be shown how clogs were made in the past and how they are made today. We then are showing to the shop where we tried numerous cheeses and bought our cheese and souvenirs. The shop was very reasonably priced with something for everyone, personalisation of gifts was great for us done well and quickly. We would say the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful, they made our visit fun and really enjoyable. Well worth a visit....

For a tourist place it was what you'd expect. Good show for the making of wooden shoes and the cheese was great. People were pleasant - I wouldn't make a point to go there JUST for this but it is a fine stop to get something to eat and drink. Reminds me of the kinds of places my granny would show pictures of back in the 1970s and it made me nostalgic for Holland in general and Amsterdam...
