Very quiet place. A lot of nice forest and field scents in the air. Lot of happy dogs around. Birds singing all around, especially in the "vogel-only,, place. Nice markings of the walking paths. Golf-field is near. Free parking. Few restaurants and cafeterias are not far outisde of the park if you're hungry/thirsty. I really recommend this place. This place is perfect for: - clearing your head while taking a walk - going for a run - bike trip - sit on a bench and drink koffie

Toch wel een van de parels van Capelle aan den IJssel! Het mooie en goed onderhouden Hitland Park. (Ook wel 'het hitland' genoemd, of Hitland Bos). Lekker rustig. Mooie paden. Mooi groen en lekker stil. Veel natuur en dieren. Uitermate geschikt voor wandelaars en rustig(!) fietsen kan ook. Vele bankjes om uit te rusten ook en ook genoeg vuilnisbakken (gebruik deze dan aub ook). Er is een sportveld en zelfs een natuurspeeltuin.

Een heerlijk gebied, met mooie begroeiing, rust, veel water en vogels als de koekoek, roerdomp, zwanen, lepelaar, zilverreiger, blauwe reiger, futen, kuifeenden, smienten in de winter, wilde eenden, grutto, leeuwerik, groene en bonte specht, uil, buizerd, duif, waterhoen, meerkoet, ooievaar. Veel mensen met honden, er is een hondenstrandjes en ze kunnen vrijwel overal loslopen. Het Leefgoed De Oliphant, voor koffie en een goede maaltijd. Er is een waterspeeltuin, en...
