Closed since the Christchurch earthquakes, this jetty was purchased from the council for $1 (that's not a typo!) by the Save the Jetty Trust in September 2016. They are currently working to raise $3million dollars to rebuild the jetty to resemble its former glory. For those familiar with the New BrightonPPier, this jetty is a similar length!
