Mt Lyford Adventure Park — Attraction in Canterbury

Wanted to take the kids swimming at the reserve but forget it - the place is fenced off like a prison. You have to book access on their website where the first thing you're greeted with is a warning about private property and trespassers will be prosecuted. The charge would have been $150 for the family - not very family friendly. I'm sure its beautiful but whoever runs this has ruined...

Man what a shame went to go for a swim on a hot day in the vilages water reservoir, these guys have it fenced off like its ww3. Really dissapointing. Also cant get onto doc land here which is literally 100m from the road. Didnt feel like nz being all fenced up like fort knox. Apparently even permanent residents in the village cant use the swimming spot. ...

This company has blocked off most access to this area and charge stupid prices to access. Restricting kiwis from accessing a beautiful mountain is a crime and these people should be prosecuted. You are an absolute embarrassment to New Zealand. If it was a charity box...
