Great views. The control gates, is where there is a view of the lake water flowing into the Waiau River. The control gates regulate water flows between Lakes Te Anau and Manapouri for the West Arm hydroelectric power station.

Great views and a pleasant walk in the Summer. It took us about 2 hours from the visitor centre to the control gates and wish we could have walked more. You can also rent bikes to ride...
