💔 Disappointed 💔 I had 2 times visit on the 7th Oct 2020 : morning and the afternoon. It’s really just an “Internet celebrity check in spot.” 🤳🤳🤳 if you want to see “the real Mirror Lake”, you will Need : a ”✅perfect time during the day”➕“✅perfect time during 4 seasons” ➕“✅perfect Weather ” = “💯Mirror Lake”. Otherwise that’s just a pond full of bugs 🦟! ⭕️Note: remember lock your windows and get into the car as quick as you can, otherwise you will have a full car of 🦟,we forget to lock windows 🦟 bugs follow us in to car! ☠️ oh, it also has ducks 🦆 family lives in the lake too. ⚠️But, the information board Mirror Lake provide are Fantastic! 😍 they are very instructive, I did read all. 👍👍👍 Loved those informations which I will never ever will reach. 👏👏👏 Thanks for that. 🥰 Fiordland National Park (picture 1/6) on the left is better call Mirror 👇👇👇【all pictures are original took from...

Mirror Lakes: A Short But Sweet Stop on the Road to Milford Sound

Mirror Lakes offer a delightful pitstop for those stretching their legs on the scenic drive to Milford Sound, New Zealand. This short and easy walk, suitable for all ages, takes you past a series of small lakes reflecting the Earl Mountains in their still waters.

While the walk itself is brief, taking only around 5 minutes, the beauty of Mirror Lakes lies in its serenity. It's a perfect opportunity to break up the journey, breathe in the fresh Fiordland air, and capture some...

Summary 3.5/5: Quick rest stop with a view.

This spot is a solid choice for a quick rest stop, but it's not a grand destination. The best part is the parking—it's free, well-marked, and there are plenty of roadside spaces, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot. The only other thing here is a coffee truck, so it's a no-frills experience. No toilet facility.

As for the view, it's fine, but not spectacular. While you can catch some nice reflections, the view is often obstructed by trees and bushes, and the observation deck is small. Most people visit for only a few minutes, snap a few photos, and then head back to their cars.

If you're driving by and need a quick break, it's worth a stop. Just manage your expectations and don't expect to...
