Playground Creations — Attraction in Hamilton

Hi Maree We are so happy with how the playground came out as are the students that get to spend their breaktimes playing on it. Each student and/or group find their own way of using it and when you look across the playground as a whole, almost every area is in constant use. Kids are so adaptive too - they are using parts of it in ways that we hadn't expected. Tucked away under the bridge where the rings hang, you saw as we did, seniors coming together to talk, use the rings to flip with and our juniors just to swing. Whilst the outcome is amazing and we love that it has been personalised with the river, the bridge, the Houses and reflects our favourite components of our old wooden playground (log, swing bridge, etc), we must make mention of you and the team involved in the planning stages who were always open to our suggestions, requests and input, and also to the building team on the ground here bringing it to life. They worked through all seasons in one day at times and kept on pushing through, always with a passion for what they were doing. As staff we appreciated their enthusiasm - it matched our enthusiam and excitement for this very unique and special part of our school. We are grateful for the Playground Creation team's desire to allow us to remember, reflect and express what was loved about our playground of the past and carry these forward into our present and future one. Playground Creations have been exceptional! Bishop Gaines School in Tokoroa, recently had our new senior playground installed. The students are enjoying a creative space to interact and have fun whilst building their upper body strength and developing their spatial awareness. Very much delayed review but we absolutely LOVE IT!!!! The kids are just enjoying every single moment when they are on the playground. It's helped with upper body strength and just keeping them active, climbing and sliding and just having fun, going up, going down and just having fun! Even though it is designed for our junior students but our seniors always sneaking to have a bit of a play when they can but students love and seeing them having so much fun on the playground is a lovely sight to see.
