Our dogs love this place. The walk around the whole park is about 2.5km, but there are shorter routes around. Great for a gentle walk as well for running with your dogs. Off the lead allowed, plenty of rubbish bins and poop bags around the park for doggy doodoo's. The stream is fantastic relief for hot dogs. Lovely plantings and fruit trees around park. There's a long drop toilet as well, down the path (half way down ?) left side path of carpark. New car park with lots of parking, some shaded parks too. Many memorials around the park for those interested. And daffodils in spring time. Great place for family picnics, but not many picnic tables, so take a rug. There are a few seats around the park and also a cool dog exercise...

This is a fantastic dog park and a doggie jewel in the crown of Hawkes Bay. There's plenty of parking, well maintained tracks, bridges, signage, poo bag dispensers, bins for rubbish. The birdlife is fantastic. Well behaved dogs frequent here and its great for doggy socializing. Oh, I forgot to mention the proper agility course for dogs. Its easy to spend an hour or more here, especially if your dog loves to swim. Dogs can have complete freedom here and just be themselves,...

Very attractive dog park. Recovering well after the February 2023 deluge. A reasonably clear stream runs through making the park ideal for water-loving dogs. Regional Council has done a great job with planting native trees and there's plenty of shade from the searing summer heat. I always make a point of stopping with fomo hound for a decent ankle whenever I'm travelling between Napier...

Gorgeous park with plenty of space for dogs to run. I found a rock painted with maybe a cat and the name "Meg" on it the day I came here. I thought it was quite special, so I picked it up and brought it back to America with me. If anyone knows Meg, please let them know their rock is happily resting in Scottsdale Arizona and I'd happily send something from here as a special gift exchange.

Really enjoyed our walk today. We don't have a dog, but enjoyed watching all the happy dogs we encountered along the way. I'm currently having to use a knee scooter, but found the tracks relatively easy to negotiate, except for needing help up a rather steep slope. I also appreciated the fact that the park is free from litter, making it an enjoyable place to be.
