Our dogs love this place. The walk around the whole park is about 2.5km, but there are shorter routes around. Great for a gentle walk as well for running with your dogs. Off the lead allowed, plenty of rubbish bins and poop bags around the park for doggy doodoo's. The stream is fantastic relief for hot dogs. Lovely plantings and fruit trees around park. There's a long drop toilet as well, down the path (half way down ?) left side path of carpark. New car park with lots of parking, some shaded parks too. Many memorials around the park for those interested. And daffodils in spring time. Great place for family picnics, but not many picnic tables, so take a rug. Read moreThis is a fantastic dog park and a doggie jewel in the crown of Hawkes Bay. There's plenty of parking, well maintained tracks, bridges, signage, poo bag dispensers, bins for rubbish. The birdlife is fantastic. Well behaved dogs frequent here and its great for doggy socializing. Oh, I forgot to mention the proper agility course for dogs.
