Nice little beach with plenty of shade trees. There is plenty of parking along the road, and a grassy and shaded strip for picnics. A small park with a public bathroom and changing room is just across the street. Not usually crowded. Shallow water goes out at least 100 meters or so, which is good for kids, wading, and swimming. The beach gets pretty narrow at high tide, but still enough sand to relax. The sand has a lot of small shells in it, and some pebbles, but you can still walk barefoot and wade into the water without footwear.

The sand was a little bit muddy but It was a lovely beach. Best place to watch the sun set. Only few people were swimming thus it is not congested. There is a public toilet and a changing room nearby. You will be facing the magnificent Rangitoto island and to the far right you can see the Auckland cityscape.

Nice little beach with easy access from the main Gulf Harbour road. Lots of parking under shady trees, shallow beach, great for swimming... Quite a great place to park your car and have a picnic or lunch with family/friends. But please respect the privacy of the residents...
