Matakatia Beach — Attraction in Hibiscus and Bays

Nice little beach with plenty of shade trees. There is plenty of parking along the road, and a grassy and shaded strip for picnics. A small park with a public bathroom and changing room is just across the street. Not usually crowded. Shallow water goes out at least 100 meters or so, which is good for kids, wading, and swimming. The beach gets pretty narrow at high tide, but still enough sand to relax. The sand has a lot of small shells in it, and some pebbles, but you can still walk barefoot and wade into the water...

Nice little beach with easy access from the main Gulf Harbour road. Lots of parking under shady trees, shallow beach, great for swimming... Quite a great place to park your car and have a picnic or lunch with family/friends. But please respect the privacy of the residents...
