There is ample car park space on the hill. However you need to walk up to the actual lookout. It’s all cement and there are no steps so it’s stroller and wheelchair friendly.

On the top of the lookout you’ll see views of Invercargill city in the far distant. You can also see Stewart island on clear days.

You’ll also see all the big ships and oyster farms at work around bluff.

Can get quite windy and cold on certain days so I’d recommend a jacket.

At the last stop on state highway 1, you can look out across the straight and see Stewart island and the small islands in between. The view is fantastic any time whether it's a beautiful sunny calm days, or mother nature showing her force during a storm. From here you can take a walk through the Bush where you'll probably see a Tui or such that will have a chat as you go by. Well...
