This little beach town has everything I love: forest, dunes, beach and good coffee! It was a 6-hour drive for us, and SO worth it! We brought the dogs and they had the time of their lives too. Also great mountain bike tracks!

A nice black sand beach, popular on warm days, it can get busy. Carpark is available, and usually food/coffee/icecream cart will be operating during peak times. Suitable for swimming when life guards are active.

Really like this beach & it's a public road so can drive up beach for that slightly more private spot to relax 😁
