Nice Quick Place to stop if your travelling between Whanganui and Raetihi. Its only a Very Small carpark and is only a Small Lookout. The Waterfall is small and there is no Walking track to the Waterfall so its good for a Quick Rest/Break Photo than back on your way.Be careful when pulling over as this is a 100 kph Area so definitely indicate 4 to 5 seconds before doing so.The Waterfall will be a lot bigger after Heavy Rain as it is quite small normally.Worth a Look as its no walking and can be in and out in a couple of mins.

The road leading up to Raukawa Falls is a sealed road. It takes but longer to drive up from Tongariro Crossing but worth the stop to witness this waterfall. There is parking available on the left if you are coming from the South. The waterfall is visible from the car park. There is a narrow path from the viewing deck down the hill. We tried hiking down but it was a bit slippery and muddy. Some trees and shrubs need trimming because it is blocking our view of the waterfall. You do not have to pay for this viewing.

Was traveling from Whanganui from kawerau. Had to stop and see this waterfall. The view of Raukawa Falls is stunning, with the waterfall cascading down into a serene pool below, framed by lush, native bush. The water flows gently over the rocks, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere. From the viewing platform or along the short walking trail, visitors can enjoy the falls from different perspectives, each offering a beautiful, natural backdrop of greenery. The surrounding forest adds to the sense of tranquility, making the view of Raukawa Falls an ideal scene for relaxation or photography. The natural setting is untouched and picturesque, offering an authentic, unspoiled view of New...
