Kennards Self Storage Penrose — Attraction in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of customer service I recently experienced with National Mini Storage Penrose.

After being a loyal customer for five years, I vacated my storage locker and removed all of my belongings. I had assumed that the flat-pack boxes left behind were originally provided to me when I first hired the unit. On this basis, I left them in the locker. Shortly thereafter, I was charged an additional $50 for their disposal, which was described as “rubbish", when in actual fact it was recycling. This charge was applied without any prior communication or opportunity for clarification or to be collected upon knowing what the charge was.

What made this particularly frustrating was that, upon exiting the premises, I received a phone call and was advised that leaving the boxes behind was acceptable. To then be billed afterwards feels both misleading and unfair. Following five years of custom, this unexpected penalty felt like a poor way to conclude my relationship with your business.

Further adding to my dissatisfaction, when I attempted to discuss the matter with your customer service team over the phone, I was not given the opportunity to properly explain myself. The dismissive manner in which the call was handled only compounded my disappointment.

This experience has left me with the impression that customer loyalty is undervalued by your company, and regrettably, I could not in good conscience recommend National Mini...

The day we were meant to start our storage, there were massive flood issues all over Auckland. They pro-actively sent out an email asking people to come check their storage unit. I was expecting a stressed out team to have limited patience for all my questions considering the floods. But no, the team was friendly, ready for a big day and trying to keep the atmosphere fun and light hearted. I was immediately offered storage in an alternate location, only 3km away, in very nice modern and clean facilities. Transferring my account to the new location went really smoothly and the new location was ready for me when I arrived. Fantastic customer service. We will definitely use mini national storage again for any future storage...

I've been with National Mini Storage for many years now. Its really handy,and I just love how I can leave my stuff there,n go on with my life,n then come,n go as I please,when I need something from there. The staff there are really lovely,helpful n friendly. My belongings have been kept there,from the past 4 moves,that Me n my Family have had. The last move was really stressful but NMS made things so much better. We got to use the Free Trailer to help move things as well. Thank you...
