The Huka Falls River Cruise is a highly recommended experience, especially with Phil as the captain. Reviewers have praised the cruise for its spectacular views of Huka Falls, which is New Zealand's most visited natural attraction². The cruise offers a relaxing trip along the Waikato River, with informative commentary from local guides and the chance to see crystal clear water, birdlife, and natural hot streams.

Phil, the captain, has been specifically mentioned for being outstanding, personable, and funny, making the cruise enjoyable for all ages, including families with young children. The boat is comfortable with both indoor seating and an open-air deck, providing plenty of photo opportunities. It seems like a great choice if you're looking to explore the beauty of Huka Falls from the water.

So, if you're considering the Huka Falls River Cruise, it appears to be a fantastic way to experience the falls, with Phil adding to the charm of...

The Huka Falls River Cruise was absolutely magical! The first part of the cruise was picturesque and serene, teeming with gorgeous landscape, plant and animal life. And then we started to hear the falls. We rounded a bend and the falls came into sight and ... wow, just wow! This gorgeous flow of clear water rushed down the falls, creating a beautiful array of colours from pale blues, to turquoise and greens, and this fluffy white mist. It. Was. STUNNING!!! Our guide was also extremely knowledgeable about the area, plant and animal life on the river, and the hydro-power station that supplies the community. He also made at least 6 turns of the boat so that all the passengers could take turns standing on both the front observation deck, and sitting on the larger back deck area and take numerous photos of and with the halls in the background. It was a truly fantastic experience and I highly recommend it...

We had a absolute blast on the river cruise! Able to take some incredible photos up the river, especially at the huka falls. Love that you get a relaxing cruise, plus a adrenaline hit from standing up the front while being so close to the falls. Was pretty cool seeing the huka jets run along the river and then have them meet us at the huka falls. Plus i like that you can make a complementary cupa while onboard and a blanket for if you get cold. Whilst aboard the operator tells you a bunch of interesting things about the Waikato River and all things surrounding! So much knowledge of our native Bush which is awesome. The customer service is great, very caring man making sure everyone is cared for and happy. There is also a bonus before the tour of being above the dams and watching them being opened and form a beautiful fast flowing...
