Hukafalls Jet Taupo — Attraction in North Island

Ok, if you check my review history you will notice i don't review much. Thats cause i recon most places are doing pretty well and i really shouldnt be saying things bout other people's effort.

But this last ride on the 31/03/2024, have to say something:

First of all, let me be absolute clear---it was an very/mostly positive experience.

The reception was friendly and efficient, the driver was knowledgeable, friendly and skillful, honestly a good ride/

But one small thing.......

During one 360 spin, the water absolutely sort of "caved in" into the boat, am not talking about splashes, splashes are fine, i wore water proof clothes for that. But the water sort of came in as a tide, me, my three kids and my wife, our shoes, pants were all completely soaked.

While i agree with the driver lilly's words [It is a Jet Boat, what you expect], can i suggest one small thing?

That is, you have a lot of clothes on sale for the uppper half of the body but no pants at all. Me and two other guys came out looking to buy a new pair of shorts just couldnt find none lol

This was the only sort of negative experience.

Sorry about the rant, it was my birthday and spend the rest of the day soaking wet was just not that pleaseant while i know it was perhaps unavoidable.

Absolutely exhilarating! Huka Falls Jetboating is hands down one of the most thrilling and unforgettable experiences in New Zealand. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and made us feel completely safe and pumped for the adventure ahead - even suggested we reschedule for the following day due to the rainy weather. We happily changed and it was the best decision we could of made.

The highlight, of course, was the close-up view of the magnificent Huka Falls. Seeing the powerful cascade up close was awe-inspiring and made the entire journey worthwhile. The commentary provided by our skipper added an extra layer of enjoyment, as we learned about the history and geology of the area.

Safety is clearly a top priority here, as the staff ensured everyone was equipped with life jackets and briefed on safety protocols before we set off. Whether you're a thrill-seeker or just looking for a unique way to experience New Zealand's natural beauty, Hukafalls Jet is an absolute must-do. I can’t recommend it...
