Kai Iwi Lakes Coastal Track — Attraction in North Island

Great views at the end as there is a nice waterfall on Ripo Beach. However you will need to walk through cow paddocks with poo across the track and traverse a fairly steep hill at the near the beach that definitely is 45 degree climb . The last bit of the track to access the beach is also steep, wear proper shoes not jandels/flip-flops, take plenty of water and snacks and wear a hat as there is no shade. It took us 40mins to...
