A quiet walk through the gardens is a delight... the historic cottages are used for community Art groups and visitors are always welcome. There's also a studio called the Sewing Room offering professional clothing alterations and sewing workshops. A bonus is the miniature ride on railway for all ages, operating twice a month.

Keirunga gardens is a wonderful place to have a picnic, go for a walk or head out on the trains.awesome place for the whole family to enjoy. Staff at the trains are very friendly and helpful, toilets are available and the trains are CASH only. No eftpos available

A wonderful place to take a little adventure. Great for little ones. Nice easy walk around Kerunga. Different paths to take throughout. Kids playground is great at the top. Catch the right day and go for a train ride. Amazing colours at this time of year

Before I mention the trains. Great park for a walk through the gardens or use the playground next to the carpark and toilets. BUT the best part has the be the trains. There is a miniature railway that operates on the first and third sundays of every month( one of the top five railways in the world). The kids love going for rides on them over bridges, through the tunnels and the station looks great. I do have to admit even the big kids enjoy the ride. Great activity...

lovely gardens, plenty of tui birds ,cool replica minaiture trains to ride 1st and 3rd sunday of the month, ONLY. run by volunteers .. lovely place to unwind.. crafts and painting and pottery centre there also but due to vandalism and arsonist there new building is currently been built to great standard ...will look great once...
