Make sure you bring along loads of water, sunscreen and snacks because we underestimated this walk. I think it’s best to do this walk when it’s overcast conditions. I would recommend to start the walk from lake Waikopiro which is adjacent to lake Tutira and takes you through peras track. Make sure you follow green wooden posts with yellow painted tops at all times which keeps you on track. There is a point midway where you can keep following the track to the table mountain or go back to camping grounds.
