Who doesn't adore a thrilling Karting track with lightning-fast Go Karts? This gem is situated just a bit outside of Rotorua, but trust me, the drive is well worth it. Despite our initial attempt to book online for the 30-minute race we desired, we ended up opting for a more spontaneous approach and walked in. Since it was midweek, the place was relatively quiet, with only one other racer joining us for our adrenaline-fueled adventures.
After getting ourselves geared up with suits, gloves, and helmets, we received a brief driver briefing. Our package included a 10-minute qualifying session, during which we familiarized ourselves with the track, and the fastest lap determined the lineup for the first race. The course offered exhilarating stretches for gaining speed along with challenging hairpin turns that demanded precision and skill.
In the first race, we lined up and unleashed our competitive spirits for a thrilling 10 minutes. Treating it like our own private race, we pushed ourselves to the limit, leaving one racer to navigate the course at his own pace. After the checkered flag waved, we were swiftly lined up for the second and final race.
The second race presented a delightful twist. The order was reversed, and we were sent off one by one based on our finishing positions from the first race, ensuring that we'd all have an equal chance to shine in the end. This setup made for a dynamic and enjoyable experience, as faster racers challenged slower ones, and we all had the opportunity to engage in tight, adrenaline-pumping races.
Off Road NZ proved to be a fantastic time, and it's clear that the team is passionate about what they do. With a myriad of other off-road adventures available, it's a destination worth revisiting. Ultimately, it was a fantastic way to settle some family rivalries and determine who truly reigns supreme on the track. I highly recommend opting for the 30-minute session to fully immerse yourself in the thrill of two...
Read moreIf there is one thing you want to do here, it is this off road adventure. We were in awe after this ended. It's filled with adrenaline and unlike any other experience you'll ever have. We did the freak of nature combo which gives you to drive your own 4x4 through a bush track. Trust me, this is so finely designed and well maintained. It gives you all the trill you want from an off road adventure. The waterfall and the "luge" drive hurdles are the very best. Then you get a ride with a professional driver in a huge 4x4 truck which almost drives sideways. It takes you through a different track but will make you scream at the top of your lungs. My word the ride is fun! Filled with roller-coaster dips, mini jumps and amazing loops, this will leave you wanting more. Definitely recommend these two experiences. If you are into go karting, this is one of the best tracks in NZ. Its a very wide and long track filled with enough hairpin bends and straight sections to give you a great experience. If you are going in at a weekend, definitely book in advance. Goo for all the 3 experiences, you will not regret your decision. Our rider Jeff was an amazing person guiding us throughout these experiences. Thank you Off Road NZ for an experience of...
Read moreWent down to Rotorua Easter weekend and went to Off Road NZ and did the self drive Suzuki Jeeps. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was worth the $110 fee. This would have been a 4 Star review but for one thing. We had a little dog that has his own harness and seat belt that clips into normal seat belt. Was not allowed to take him so my wife was going to stay behind and I would go. But! the young lady said the price of $110 was based on 2 people and it is noted on the price display. So the price for me alone would be $160.00? (This is not on the pricing display or anywhere else I could see. I just went through and booked online for one person. The cost $110.00. End result we found some shade, it was a hot sunny day, left the dog in the car and both went on the drive. I really enjoyed it, my wife liked it. But we paid $220.00 for One jeep. On their bookings you can pay $220 for TWO separate Jeeps. In which case this would have been a $ Start review. I thought they were a bit...
