Tapu Beach — Attraction in North Island

Tapu Beach has two public access points. The south access has public toilets and is right next to Tapu Camp Grounds. The northern access to the beach does not have public toilets however has a lot of open fields to park/kids to play.

Between the southern and northern access to the beach, is a shop/takeaways, a camp ground, and a pub/restaurant.

Very quiet spot on Christmas Eve, public toilet in walkimg distance, picnic table and wheelic bin for rubbish. We got a lovely visit from three kids in the morning with a Chrisrmas present on Christmas day, two lovely teenage girls and a boy. What a sweet and lovely treat. Feel proud for their family....

A nice freedom camping close to the main road. You can stay overnight in self contained vehicle between the arrows, like everywhere in Coromandel. Quite some spots and you can have a great view. A nice place to swim. Public toilet opened 24h a short walk from there. I enjoyed but wouldn't stay more...
