Trentham Memorial Park — Attraction in North Island

Great family friendly park, cricket pitches available (grass and turf), also hosts soccer for the littlies in the winter. UH Junior Athletics Club on the Brentwood Road entrance - in the summer has a 400m track marked out on it - the the newly revamped kids playground is also on this side - as well as toilet facilities. Small bush sheltered walks within the park, and the outside boundaries are often used as a running or walking circuit. Indoor cricket centre located on the Barton Road entry side, can hire the indoor nets for a fee - contact Upper Hutt Cricket Club. Trentham Harriers also located at this entrance, who have week night and Saturday afternoon club activities. Toilet facilities also available on this side. This is a pretty cool playground! There is so much to explore, with multiple slides and a wealth of climbing obstacles. There's a more junior playground under a shade sail too, with an easily accessible small slide.

There is a wonderful water play area too. Capture or let the water run free as it rushes down the sloping troughs sparkling with little stones.

There is good seating and established trees provide shady spots for a picnic. There's a walking loop that takes around 40 min to complete and is very buggy friendly.
